What is PRP Injection Therapy?

Just like white blood cells and red blood cells are part of your blood, so are blood platelets. During this treatment, a small amount of your blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to separate out the platelets. Then, the PRP injection is given in the part of the tissue or cartilage that is damaged. Multiple injections may be required if the damage is severe.
